Pradeep Kumar

Pradeep Kumar is an Appointed Actuary at SUD Life. Pradeep has over 15 years of experience in the insurance and actuarial industry.

Pradeep started their career in 2003 as a Manager MIS & Finance at Hamilton Housewares Pvt. Ltd. Pradeep then moved on to Hewitt Associates India Pvt. Ltd as an Actuarial Associate in 2007. In May 2007, they joined Birla Sun Life Insurance Company Ltd as Chief Manager - Valuation. Pradeep was responsible for leading a team of six members who were collectively responsible for liability valuation, statutory reporting, internal reporting, with profit management and reinsurance. Pradeep also worked in the company's product development and pricing team from 2008 to 2011, where they contributed to the development of linked, non-linked and health products. In June 2017, they joined ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company Limited as Vice President. In this role, they were responsible for product pricing, reinsurance and liability valuation based on US GAAP & IndAs. Pradeep was also responsible for the implementation of IFRS.

Pradeep Kumar has a FIAI from the Institute of Actuaries of India in Actuarial Science, a PGDTFM from ICFAI in Treasury and Foreign Exchange Management, an MBA from the Neville Wadia Institute of Management in Finance, and a B.Sc. Hons from Rajendra College in Chapra.
