Carrie Fick

Carrie Fick is an experienced professional currently serving as a Speech-Language Pathologist Clinical Fellow (SLP CF) at Elderwood at Wheatfield, where assessment and treatment of patients in communication and swallowing are primary responsibilities. Concurrently, Carrie works as the TIES Program Coordinator at Starbridge, facilitating inclusive extracurricular activities for students with developmental disabilities. As a co-creator and co-host of the Filterless Females Podcast, Carrie addresses personal challenges related to grief and rare diseases. Additionally, Carrie raises awareness for Spastic Paraplegia type 52 through blogging on PatientWarrior52.com and teaches group exercise classes at both Fitness Ability, Inc. and the Lockport Family YMCA. Carrie's previous experience includes roles as a Senior Copywriter and Instruction Writer at Fisher-Price and technical writing positions at Frontier Science & Technology Research Foundation and Meritain Health. Educational achievements include a Master of Education in Speech-Language Pathology and a Master’s in Organizational Leadership, supported by degrees in Speech-Language Pathology and Journalism.
