James F.

James F. has a diverse work experience spanning over 15 years. James started their career as an IT Consultant at the Ministry of Defence, where they worked for eight years. Following that, they worked as a System Tester at Skipton Building Society and later as a Senior Digital UAT Analyst at HSBC.

In 2017, James joined Lowell Group as a System Test Analyst, and the following year, they moved to BAE Systems Applied Intelligence as a System Test Lead. At BAE Systems, they were responsible for planning, organizing, and executing test activities for various projects.

In 2021, James took up the role of Agile Test Lead at Sky, Europe's leading media and entertainment company. During their tenure at Sky, they built and managed multiple teams and departments of testers, and played a key role in investigating and resolving defects.

Currently, James serves as an Associate Director of Product Development at StarCompliance, a position they started in March 2023.

James F. has a diverse education history. In 2000, they attended Hemsworth Art and Community College, where they obtained 5 GCSEs, including Maths and English. In 2007, James completed an EDEXCEL LEVEL 3 NVQ for Communication Technology Professionals at Wiltshire and Somerset Colleges' Partnership Ltd. Later that year, they also achieved OCR Level 2 Key skills and OCR Level 2 in Adult Literacy through Oxford Cambridge and RSA Examinations. In 2008, they completed Level 2 Key skills in Communications at the City and Guilds of London Institute. In 2013, James obtained a Diploma in An/PRC 117F Communication System from Harris.

Additionally, James has obtained several certifications. In 2015, they received the ITIL® Foundation in IT Service Management certification from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, as well as the ISTQB-ISEB Certified Tester Foundation Level certification from ISTQB - International Software Testing Qualifications Board. In 2019, James obtained the Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification from Scrum.org.
