Matthew Stephan has a diverse work experience in the fields of technical program management, agile coaching, and game development. Matthew currently works as a Technical Program Manager at Stardust. Prior to this, they worked as a Scrum Coach at Bonsai and as part of the Portfolio Delivery Group at TD. Matthew also has experience as an Agile Coach at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology, where they managed multiple concurrent research projects, organized development teams, gathered requirements, and ensured project deadlines were met. Additionally, they were an Advisor and Program Manager at Spark Centre, where they provided guidance on game development, gamification, and agile project management. Matthew also served as a Program Manager at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology, overseeing the Game Development Workshop. Matthew co-founded and served as the COO of Squabble Studios Ltd., a game development company, and worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology, focusing on game development for children with Type 1 Diabetes.
Matthew Stephan earned a Bachelor of Information Technology degree in Game Design and Entrepreneurship from Ontario Tech University, where they studied from 2007 to 2012. In addition, they obtained certifications in Alternate Dispute Resolution from the Conflict Resolution Centre, Government of Canada in October 2017, and in Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®) from Scrum Alliance in December 2020.
