Starface is seeking a Part Time Freelance Social Media Coordinator to support our Instagram and TikTok communities. In this role, you will support and engage with user generated content (ugc), serving as the voice of our brand.
The right person for this role is a reliable, motivated college student or recent grad with low ego and high emotional intelligence who is super social media savvy, has strong relationship building and customer service instincts, and knows and loves our brand vibe.

On Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, you will be the eyes and ears of the Starface Social Media Team. Tasks will include
- Monitoring and responding to all Instagram DMs
- Monitoring all Instagram and TikTok comments, flagging any concerns to the social team
- Uploading and posting pre-approved static images, reels, copy, and similar to Instagram and TikTok
- uploading already approved static images, reels, copy etc
- Reposting select User Generated Content (UGC) to Instagram Stories
- Monitoring Instagram tagged posts - hiding spam content, flagging any vip mentions
- Providing recaps for the Starface social team to review on Monday
- Checking in (via Slack) the days before and after coverage (typically Friday and Monday mornings)
this role is for you if
- You have 3+ years of active experience with social media, and consider yourself super IG and TikTok-savvy
- You have a strong understanding of the starface brand and voice, and can represent us well
- You are highly organized with impeccable attention detail & pride yourself on getting every little thing (and the big things) just right
- You have a customer/community-first mentality and a strong sense of urgency when it comes to community engagement
- You have strong problem solving skills - you think fast on your feet and can be scrappy, creative, and pivot when things don’t go as planned
- You have strong written communication skills
- You are available to work 5-10 hours per week on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday
- Experience in customer service, retail, or hospitality is a plus!

salary & location details
- This is a fully remote role; strong preference for someone in the NYC area.
- The compensation for this freelance role is $25/hour.
