Starfish Family Services
Ashley Pierce began their work experience in 2011 as a Teacher at Matrix Human Services, where they worked until September 2013. Ashley then joined Starfish Family Services as a Teacher at Plymouth Canton Head Start from September 2013 to January 2016. From January 2016 to March 2019, they worked as a Curriculum Specialist at Starfish Family Services, where they coached teachers in implementing the High Scope Curriculum and facilitated workshops and presentations. In March 2019, they moved into the role of Center Leader at Westwood Head Start at Starfish Family Services. In 2017, they also worked as a Field Consultant at HighScope Educational Research Foundation.
Ashley Pierce completed their Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education and Teaching from Baker College of Allen Park from 2011 to 2013. Prior to that, they obtained an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education and Teaching from the same institution from 2009 to 2011. Ashley also holds additional certifications, including being a Pre-K CLASS Assessor which they obtained from Teachstone in December 2018. Ashley is also a HighScope Trainer, having obtained this certification from the HighScope Educational Research Foundation in July 2017. In addition, Ashley is a HighScope Model Teacher, having completed their training in March 2014 from the HighScope Educational Research Foundation.
