Ian Heidenberger

Director of Robotics at Starfish Space

Ian Heidenberger is the current Director of Robotics at Starfish Space. Ian has also held the positions of Chief Engineer and Director of Robotics at Starfish Space. Prior to joining Starfish Space, they were an Autonomous Controls Engineer at Blue Origin for 1 year and 7 months. Before that, they were a Project Engineer and Engineering Intern at Honeybee Robotics for 2 years and 5 months. Ian has also interned at SpaceX as a Production Intern (Composites) for 4 months and at Skybox Imaging as a Camera Systems Engineer Intern for 3 months. Ian has also worked as a Graduate Student Researcher at the Information Sciences Institute for 3 months.

Ian Heidenberger has a Master of Science from the University of Southern California in Astronautical Engineering from 2015-2016, a Bachelor of Science from the University of Southern California in Aerospace Engineering from 2012-2015, a Master of Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Computer Science with a focus in Machine Learning, and a Certified SolidWorks Associate in Mechanical Design from DS SolidWorks Corporation.
