Matheus Coelho Ferraz

Matheus Coelho Ferraz has held a variety of roles in the aerospace industry since 2013. Matheus began as the Director of Flight Mechanics for ITA Rocket Design, a student association formed by students from ITA (Technological Institute of Aeronautics). During their time there, they were awarded the best project in 2013 and second place in the basic category in 2015. In 2016, they served as an Academic Researcher at ISAE-SUPAERO, where they developed an algorithm for detecting buried metallic objects using autonomous UAVs and participated in the IMAV 2017 (International Micro Air Vehicle Competition), where the first place in the Treasure Hunt Challenge was acquired. In 2017, they worked on a Cooperation Project at Sterblue, where they developed an algorithm for optimal flight plan generation. In 2018, they worked as an Internship at ACSL - Autonomous Control Systems Laboratory Ltd., where they developed an algorithm for autonomous navigation in unknown environments using a stereo camera, which was successfully validated on board real drones. Matheus also held the role of Director and Software Engineer at Stark Bank in 2018.

Matheus Coelho Ferraz attended Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica - ITA from 2013 to 2018, where they obtained an Engineer's degree in Aerospace Engineering. Matheus also attended ISAE-SUPAERO from 2016 to 2018, where they obtained a SUPAERO Engineering Course in Aerospace Engineering.
