Lori Becker

Lori Becker is a professional with extensive experience in various positions. Lori has held roles at the Starkloff Disability Institute, starting in 2013. Lori'spositions at the institute include Chief Executive Officer, Interim Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and Director of Development and Communications. Prior to their time at the Starkloff Disability Institute, Lori worked as the Principal of L.A. Becker Consulting, LLC from 2011 to 2022. During their time at the consulting firm, they developed and implemented communication strategies for multiple clients, built relationships with stakeholders and media, and utilized various communication channels. Before that, they worked as a Special Project Coordinator for the City of St. Louis from 2007 to 2010, where they were responsible for writing correspondence and managing a monthly newsletter. Lori also monitored and reported on tax collection legislation. Additionally, Lori worked as a Consultant at Vigilant Communications from 2005 to 2007. In this role, they developed fundraising and communication strategies for clients and managed field staff members.

Lori Becker's education history includes a certificate in Disability and Employment Studies from the Starkloff Disability Institute, which they obtained in 2013. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Organizational Communication, General from Saint Louis University, where they studied from 2010 to 2013. In addition to their academic qualifications, Lori Becker has also acquired additional certifications. In August 2020, they completed Bystander Training: From Bystander to Upstander offered by LinkedIn. Lori also obtained a certification in Disadvantaged Women's Business Enterprise from the Missouri Regional Certification Committee/Lambert St. Louis Airport Minority Business Authority in January 2011.
