Simone Garland

Simone Garland has a diverse range of work experience. Simone is currently working as a Peer-to-peer Engagement Coordinator at Starlight Children's Foundation, starting in March 2023. Simone has also worked at Winslow & Associates, where they held the positions of Event Producer since May 2021 and Event Assistant since January 2007. Simone was an Event Producer at WINK! Weddings from February 2019 to March 2022. Simone worked as an Event Manager at D27 Event Productions from April 2019 to March 2020, where they attended meetings, coordinated with vendors, and managed budgets. Prior to that, they were a Wedding Coordinator at XOXO Weddings from January 2015 to February 2019. Simone's experience also includes being a Dance Instructor at Creation Station Studio City from March 2012 to July 2018. Simone briefly worked as an Event Manager at BlackLine from January 2018 to June 2018. Finally, Simone's early work experience involves being an Afterschool Care/Camp Counselor at the San Francisco Arts Education Project from June 1999 to August 2008.

Simone Garland's education history includes a Bachelor's degree in Theatre/Theater from San Francisco State University, which they obtained from 2006 to 2008. Simone then pursued a field of study in Speech-Language Pathology/Pathologist at Idaho State University from 2011 to 2013. Earlier in their education, Simone attended the Hartt School of Music from 2003 to 2005, focusing on Musical Theatre. In addition to their academic qualifications, they also obtained a certification as a Certified Wedding and Event Planner (CWP) from Happily in January 2019.
