Erin Olm-Shipman is the Donor Relations Manager at Starlight Theatre. Erin previously served as the Co-Coordinator for the Tulare County Alliance for Arts Education and the Executive Director for the Visalia Fox Theatre.
Erin has a passion for arts education and has worked tirelessly to advocate for equitable access to the arts for all students. Erin has strategically established a leadership coalition of students, teachers, arts organizations and other community stakeholders to support local arts education programs.
As the Executive Director of the Visalia Fox Theatre, Erin managed a $700,000+ annual budget and 23 employees. Erin refocused programming initiatives to align with the Fox’s mission to enrich Visalia’s diverse cultural landscape through audience engagement and community outreach. Under their leadership, public programs were expanded by more than 70% and average event attendance increased by 37%.
As the chief fundraiser for the Visalia Fox Theatre, Erin implemented a development program that generated private donor, foundation, grant, and corporate support. Erin successfully oversaw a variety of upgrade projects, including rigging system repairs, box office restoration and backstage renovation, acquisition of LED stage lighting system, electrical system upgrades, and rebranding of the organization, including the complete rebuild of the Visalia Fox Theatre’s website in 2018.
Erin Olm-Shipman has a BA in Art Theirtory and Philosophy from Mount Holyoke College and an MA in Art Theirtory from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Erin is certified from the Tessitura Center for Professional Development in Fundamental Fundraising in Tessitura and from the American Heart Association in CPR & AED.
