Hugh Hannesson's work experience includes various leadership roles in different companies. Hugh currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer at StarLion since December 2021. Prior to this, they were a Member of the Board at Redlist starting from November 2021.

Before these positions, Hannesson held the role of Lifetime Member at The Oxford Union since January 2012. Additionally, they worked as the Senior Vice President at Crewe | Investment Banking from April 2020 to March 2022.

Hannesson also served as the Senior Vice President at ManagerPlus by iOFFICE from August 2019 to April 2020, where they played a crucial role in accelerating revenue growth and increasing the company's valuation. Hugh was responsible for Americas Sales, including Account Executives and Lead Generation, reporting to the CEO.

In previous roles, they served as the Executive Vice President at Salt Project from March 2018 to March 2019. Before that, they were the Senior Vice President at InMoment from October 2015 to May 2017, where their responsibilities included diversifying revenue streams and leading business development.

Hannesson also worked as the Director of Worldwide Sales and Licensing Enforcement at Oracle from July 2014 to July 2015. Hugh was hired to lead the global monetization of the Java platform and managed sales, strategy, licensing, and litigation teams.

Prior to their tenure at Oracle, Hannesson worked as the Global Head of Business Development, Senior Managing Director, Board Member, and Advisor at General Resonance, LLC from May 2005 to June 2014. Hugh also has experience in Private Placement at HGGC from December 2007 to April 2009.

Hugh Hannesson earned their Bachelor's degree in Philosophy from the University of Manitoba. Hugh then pursued further education at the University of Oxford, where they completed an MBA (Executive Cohort) with a focus on Finance and Economics. In addition to their academic achievements, Hugh also obtained several certifications from FINRA, including the Private Securities Offerings Representative, Securities Industry Essentials, and Uniform Securities Agent State Law certifications.
