Mike vander Baan

Mike Vander Baan has a diverse work experience in healthcare management. Mike currently serves as the Chief Strategy Officer at Starmount Healthcare Management since July 2020. Prior to that, they held the role of Chief Operating Officer at Carolina Neurosurgery & Spine Associates from July 2014 to April 2020. In this position, they were responsible for operational improvement, clinic sites, hospital partnerships, IT infrastructure, and strategic growth. Mike also took on additional oversight for Marketing in 2016. Mike has also participated in Intermountain Healthcare's Advanced Training Program from January 2019 to May 2019. Before that, they held several roles at Carolinas Healthcare System, including Senior Director of the Neurosciences Institute, Operations Director of the Faculty Physician Network, and Practice Administrator of Carolinas Center for Oral Health.

Mike Vander Baan earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business from Calvin University in the period of 1995 to 1999. Mike then pursued a Masters of Business Administration with a focus on Organizational Leadership at Queens University of Charlotte from 2006 to 2008. In addition to their degrees, Mike Vander Baan obtained a certification from the Intermountain Healthcare Delivery Institute's Intermountain Advanced Training Program in 2019.
