Angela Zehr

Angela Zehr has a diverse work experience in the field of human resources. Angela worked at Start.ca from 2016 to 2019, where they served as the People & Culture Director. In this role, they designed and implemented the HR strategy, led a team, and provided coaching and mentoring support.

Before that, Angela worked as an HR Manager at Start.ca from 2016 to 2019. Angela played a crucial role in the company's rapid growth by tripling the workforce in 3 years. Additionally, they built and led a high-performing HR team responsible for recruitment, employee engagement, compensation, and learning and development.

Prior to Start.ca, Angela worked as a Human Resources Consultant at Ahria Consulting from 2015 to 2016. In this role, they provided HR guidance to small and medium-sized organizations, acted as a strategic advisor in various HR areas, and implemented innovative HR solutions.

Angela's earlier experience includes working as a Human Resources Coordinator at SDI Marketing from 2014 to 2015, where they managed people operations for 1000 field employees. Angela also served as a Talent Coordinator at GMR Marketing from 2013 to 2014.

Throughout their career, Angela has demonstrated expertise in HR management, employee engagement, compliance, recruitment, and performance management, among other areas.

Angela Zehr completed their Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Wilfrid Laurier University from 2005 to 2010. In 2012, they pursued a Post Graduate Human Resources Management Certificate from George Brown College and completed it in 2013. Additionally, Angela obtained the Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) certification in January 2013.
