Michael DiFabio has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and responsibilities in the telecommunications industry. Michael is currently working at Start.ca as the Systems Architecture Director and previously served as the Systems Architecture Partner. Prior to that, Michael worked at Rogers Communications as a Senior Solution Architect for six years, where they assessed and developed solutions for various products and services. Before that, they were a Solution Engineering Consultant at Primus Telecommunications Canada Inc., where they provided technical support to the Sales team and contributed to the efficiency of the sales process. Michael also has experience working at Bell in different roles, including Business Solution Advisor/Associate Director, Operations Consultant/Application Support Specialist, Project Delivery Business/Systems Analyst, System/Business Analyst, and Trainer. Additionally, they have worked as a Technologist & Contract Trainer at Fanshawe College, where they administered LAN resources and facilitated computer-based training programs.

Michael DiFabio completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Psychobiology, Physiology, and Animal Behaviour from Western University from 1990 to 1994. Michael then pursued further education and obtained a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Professional Counselling/Counselling Psychology from Liberty University between 1994 and 1998.

In addition to their formal education, Michael DiFabio has also earned various certifications. Michael obtained the VMware VTSP Foundation 2017 certification from VMware in 2018. Michael also received certifications in VMware VTSP Network Virtualization with NSX and Veeam VMSP v9.5 from VMware and Veeam Software, respectively, in 2018. Moreover, they attained the Certified Meraki Networking Associate (CMNA) certification from Cisco Meraki in April 2016. Prior to that, they obtained the Carrier Ethernet Certified Professional (CECP) certification from MEF Forum in 2013. In 2010, they completed the Frameworx Overview & the Business Process Framework (eTOM), Level-2 Certification from TM Forum. In 2005, they received certifications in Business Analyst of the Future from IAG Consulting and the Masters Certificate of Business Analysis from Schulich School of Business - York University. Additionally, Michael was granted the Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer certification from Microsoft in 2000.
