Jose recently graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School at York University and was called to the Bar of Ontario in 2022. Prior to Osgoode, Jose obtained an Bachelor of Science with an Honours Specialization in Genetics in 2017. At Osgoode, Jose worked as a caseworker for the Community and Legal Aid Services Program (CLASP) within the Administrative law division where he represented clients with a wide range of legal issues such as academic misconduct, human rights, and housing. Here, he developed a passion for advancing substantive equality rights of underrepresented communities. Jose then held the role of student co-chair on the CLASP Advisory Board of Directors. Jose now practices as a Staff Lawyer at a national law firm.

Outside of law, Jose enjoys being outdoors, reading, and playing video games. He is a coffee enthusiast, indulging in roasts from around the world and experimenting with different brewing methods.
