Markus Hoesli has a diverse work experience spanning several decades. Markus began their career in 1980 at Swisscom Fixnet AG, where they worked as a Telecom Technician and later became a Team Leader. In 1991, they joined Alcatel Switzerland as a Network Engineer and took on the role of Sub-Project Leader in a Telecom Reconstruction Project in Bosnia-Herzegovina. During this time, they were responsible for support, training of end users, and software adaptation for the Bosnian telecommunication network. In 2002, Markus worked at Treasure Island Resort & Casino as an Application Supporter. Markus then joined StarTech Computing, Inc. in 2004, where they held the position of Project Manager. In this role, they provided network engineering support, server maintenance, network management, and project work for various clients. Their knowledge includes server and operating systems such as Windows Server, Small Business Server, and VMware.

Markus Hoesli began their education in 1973 at Technical College in Aarau, Switzerland, where they pursued a degree in Electrician. Markus graduated in 1977 with an Associate degree. Following this, they attended the University of Applied Sciences St. Gallen from 1984 to 1988, where they acquired a Bachelor's degree in Electro Engineering, Telecommunication. In 1991, Markus enrolled in the ALCATEL Academy and completed a specialization in Digital Telecommunication, concluding their formal education in 2000.
