Peter Furia

Peter Furia is the Head of Video at StarTree. Peter was previously the Head of Studio at Confluent from July 2017 to February 2022. Prior to that, they were the Head of Video at DataStax from December 2015 to July 2017. Peter has also worked as the Director of YouTube Programming at Condé Nast Entertainment from October 2014 to December 2015.

Peter has extensive experience in video production, direction, and editing. Peter has produced numerous videos for external and internal use, including 10+ online technical training courses for DataStax Academy. Peter has also hired and managed contractors, crews, and full-time editors. In addition, they have mentored non-video staff to enable them to self-produce high quality videos.

Some of the videos and series that they have developed, produced, directed, filmed, edited, and marketed include those for WIRED, Golf Digest, Vanity Fair, GQ, and more.

Peter Furia studied sociology and African-American studies at Yale University. Peter then attended Lakeside School.
