Gil Azevedo

Gil Azevedo serves as the Executive Director at Unicorn Factory Lisboa since May 2022, focusing on enhancing the Lisbon innovation ecosystem to establish it as a leading hub in Europe through initiatives such as incubation, youth entrepreneurship, and international partnerships. Prior to this role, Gil Azevedo held various senior positions at Emirates Islamic, including Senior Vice President and Head of Consumer Banking, overseeing strategy, product development, and digital banking from April 2012 to July 2022. Gil Azevedo has also contributed to the development of strategic business initiatives at Emirates NBD and McKinsey & Company, where project leadership spanned multiple sectors across different countries. Gil Azevedo holds an MBA from Columbia University and a degree from Instituto Superior Técnico.
