Joseph Makokha

Joseph Makokha, PhD, is an experienced professional currently serving as an Executive in Residence at Startuplab and a Teaching and Research Post-Doctoral Fellow at the University of Oslo, where focus is on cross-disciplinary entrepreneurship teams and the application of Design Thinking and computational methods. As Founder and CEO of Orca.AI, Joseph designs machine learning and artificial intelligence solutions for various business scales. Joseph also operates Technology & Security Solutions LLC, providing tech design and consulting services. With a rich background in academic technology support at Stanford University, along with previous entrepreneurial ventures, Joseph holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford, complemented by degrees in Education and Urban Education.
