Jon Farkas

Jon Farkas has an extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Jon is currently the Senior Vice President - Capital Markets at Starwood Capital Group since January 2022. Before joining Starwood, they worked as an Advisor at INDEPENDENT ARTIST ENTERTAINMENT starting from October 2019. Prior to that, Jon was the Director - Real Estate Capital Markets at BNP Paribas from January 2020 to January 2022. Jon also served as Colony Capital, Inc.'s General Counsel from 2013 to 2014, and Deputy General Counsel and Assistant Secretary at NorthStar Realty Finance Corp. from 2011 to 2013. Prior to transitioning into the finance industry, Jon was an Associate at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP from 2005 to 2010.

Jon Farkas pursued their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in History from Rutgers University from 1998 to 2001. After completing their undergraduate studies, they furthered their education at Columbia Law School, where they obtained a Doctor of Law (JD) degree from 2002 to 2005.
