Matt Kvalo P.e.

Matt Kvalo, P.E. has a diverse work experience in the drilling industry. Matt currently holds the position of VP of Engineering & Technology at Stasis Drilling Solutions, a role they began in June 2022. Prior to this, they served as an Engineering Manager at the same company from February 2021 to June 2022. Before joining Stasis Drilling Solutions, Matt worked at ExxonMobil as a Lead Drilling Engineer and Project Manager from December 2018 to December 2020. In this role, they designed and project managed offshore extended reach well construction operations, managed multinational teams and contractor communication, and implemented process improvements. Matt also has experience with Schlumberger, where they held various positions. As a Field Service Manager and Operations Manager from March to December 2018, they managed four product lines with operations throughout western Canada, handled bidding and contract management, and oversaw P&L and operational performance. As a Project Manager and Drilling & Operations Engineer from November 2016 to March 2018, they led sales initiatives, managed client relationships and project execution, and supervised local operations teams. Additionally, Matt worked as a General Field Engineer from September 2013 to November 2016, where they planned and executed specialized drilling techniques, managed logistics for drilling operations, served as an on-site supervisor, and designed a software program for deepwater equipment selection.

Matt Kvalo, P.E. holds a Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University. Matt also has a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In addition to their educational credentials, they are a Licensed Professional Petroleum Engineer, certified by the Texas Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors. Matt also holds the WELLSHARP - Supervisor Level certification from the IADC. No specific start or end years are provided for their education or certifications.
