Dinesh Govindarao has extensive work experience in various medical and leadership roles. Dinesh began their career as an Occupational Medicine Consultant in 2000 and later served as the Medical Director at Boeing Satellite Systems from 2001 to 2002. From 2002 to 2013, they worked at Concentra, first as the California Worksite Medical Director and later as the Vice President & National Medical Director. In 2013, they joined State Compensation Insurance Fund as the Chief Medical Officer. In recent years, Dinesh has taken on leadership roles in different organizations, including serving as a Vice Chair of the Library Advisory Committee at the City of San Ramon and as a Board Member at the San Ramon Valley Education Foundation. Dinesh is currently the Director on the Board of Directors at Dublin San Ramon Services District.
Dinesh Govindarao earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree with a major in Genetics and a minor in Business from the University of California, Berkeley between 1988 and 1992. Dinesh then went on to obtain a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from Drexel University College of Medicine from 1993 to 1997. In 1998 and 1999, Dinesh pursued a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree at UCLA.
