Peter Guastamachio

Peter Guastamachio has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Peter began their career in 1991 at Argonaut Insurance Company, where they served as Assistant Treasurer and Investment Director for over a decade. In 2002, they joined Bank of the West as a Vice President and Assistant Portfolio Manager, a position they held until 2009. During this time, they also took on leadership roles at the State Compensation Insurance Fund, serving as Chief Investment Officer from 2009 to 2014, and Chief Financial Officer from 2014 onwards. Additionally, they became a Board Member at the California Insurance Guaranty Association in 2012.

Peter Guastamachio earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of California, Berkeley in 1976. Additionally, they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance from St. Mary's College of California between 1987 and 1989.
