Amy Macpherson, GISP, is an experienced GIS professional with a robust background in data management and analysis. Currently serving as a GIS Analyst III with the State of Alaska since March 2021, Amy has previously held positions at organizations such as the Scenarios Network for Alaska & Arctic Planning (SNAP), Matanuska Electric Association, and the Geophysical Institute at UAF. With a Master’s degree in Geography with a focus on GIS and Remote Sensing from Murray State University, Amy's expertise includes integrating engineering data into GIS systems, developing high-resolution digital elevation models for tsunami research, and managing various GIS projects that span multiple sectors and geographic regions. Notable contributions include work on projects for NAVTEQ and Photo Science Inc, where Amy demonstrated strong leadership in data acquisition, project management, and quality control across diverse geospatial initiatives.
