Joseph Matthews

Joseph Matthews, JD, currently serves as Area Financial Manager at The Florida Office of Financial Regulation since November 2024. Prior to this role, Joseph held various compliance leadership positions, including Chief Compliance Officer and Vice President at Alliant Credit Union, and Managing Director, Deputy Head of Compliance at CIBC Bank USA. Joseph's earlier experience includes roles as Vice President of Fair and Responsible Banking at MB Financial Bank and Vice President of Compliance Risk Management at VyStar Credit Union. Additionally, Joseph was the Chief Compliance and Risk Officer for North America at TransferMate Global Payments and began their career at the Florida Office of Financial Regulation in various capacities. Joseph holds a Juris Doctor degree from Florida Coastal School of Law and a Bachelor's degree in Finance from Florida State University.
