Nicholas Wheeler

Nicholas Wheeler is an experienced public servant and military officer currently serving as a Bilateral Affairs Officer for the United States Southern Command at the US Embassy in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Since October 2023, Nicholas has been the Chief of Staff and Military & Veterans Affairs Advisor for the State of Illinois, overseeing multiple district offices and managing outreach initiatives and communications strategies. Previous roles include serving as a First Lieutenant in the Illinois Army National Guard and working in various capacities within governmental organizations, including the Illinois House of Representatives and the U.S. House of Representatives. Nicholas holds a Master of Public Administration from Northern Illinois University and a Bachelor of Arts in Business with a minor in Politics from Lake Forest College.
