Colby Smith

Colby Smith is an innovative entrepreneur and experienced leader in business development and training. As the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Digital Bay Center, Inc., Colby focuses on providing startup assistance and promoting diversity in ideas and people within the business community in Baltimore and Maryland. In addition to this role, Colby serves on the Board of Directors for the Greater Baltimore Black Chamber of Commerce, engaging in strategic planning and governance. Colby also founded Black Steel, Inc., a cybersecurity training company that offers specialized curriculum and certification testing. As the Senior Vice President of Strategy at Maryland Biomedical Enterprise, Colby contributes to financial management and implementation in the cannabis sector. Furthermore, Colby has held a long-term position as a Trainer for the Maryland Circuit Court, where skills in interpersonal communication and problem-solving are essential for training courtroom clerks. Colby holds a High School Diploma in Accounting from Mergenthaler Vocational-Technical High School and is an alumnus of Hampton University.
