David Nelson is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in economic analysis and workforce development. Currently serving as the Regional Analysis Group Manager at the State of Oregon's Employment Department since October 2017, David oversees a team of 18 Labor Market Economists, focusing on local workforce trends and providing valuable economic information to various stakeholders. Previously, David held the position of Business and Education Group Manager at the Oregon Employment Department, where similar responsibilities were undertaken. David's career also includes significant roles in banking and finance, demonstrating a breadth of skills in customer service and operations management. David holds multiple degrees in Economics and History from Oregon State University as well as an MBA from George Fox University, supplemented by international studies at Aoyama Gakuin University.
