George Milling-Stanley

George Milling-Stanley is a seasoned expert in the gold market, currently serving as Chief Gold Strategist and Head of Gold Strategy at State Street SPDR ETFs since November 2014. Prior to this role, Milling-Stanley operated as an independent Gold Expert with George Milling-Stanley on Gold, LLC from October 2011 to November 2014. Milling-Stanley's extensive experience includes serving as Managing Director of Government Affairs at the World Gold Council from January 1996 to August 2011, First Vice President of Risk Management at Lehman Brothers from October 1989 to December 1995, and Chief Precious Metals Analyst at Consolidated Gold Fields from August 1985 to September 1989. Additionally, Milling-Stanley began a career in journalism as the Mining Editor for the Financial Times from August 1975 to August 1985. Educational qualifications include studies at the University of Reading and the University of Saarbrücken in Germany.
