Hugh Golden

Hugh Golden is an experienced finance professional currently serving as the Head of North American Private Equity and Private Credit at State Street Global Advisors since July 2016. Prior to this role, Hugh worked as a Global Solutions Senior Investment Manager at GE Asset Management, where responsibilities included overseeing investments and strategy for the global alternatives platform. Hugh also held the position of Managing Director at GE Capital from 2006 to 2014, focusing on investments in various industries through growth and leveraged buyout transactions. Earlier in the career, Hugh was a Vice President/Managing Director at GE Asset Management and participated in extensive investment activities across multiple sectors. Hugh’s experience also includes roles in corporate auditing and financial analysis at GE, where involvement spanned various global businesses. Educational qualifications include an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BS in Finance from Georgetown University.
