Edith Kuiper

Edith Kuiper is a highly experienced academic specializing in economics and women's studies. Currently serving as a Visiting Researcher at the Centre for Resilience and Sustainable Development at the University of Cambridge since February 2023, Kuiper focuses on integrating women and gender into systems theory and sustainability research. As an Associate Professor at the State University of New York at New Paltz since August 2009, Kuiper has significantly contributed to teaching in both economics and women's studies. Previous positions include membership on the Board of Trustees for Historic Huguenot Street and various academic roles at institutions such as the University of Sassari, University of Amsterdam, Ruhr Universität Bochum, Hollins University, and the European University Institute. Kuiper holds a PhD and a Master's degree in Economics from the University of Amsterdam, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
