Nichole Sterling began their work experience in 2007 as a Creative Consultant for Minggl, where they helped design a Tagging Game and created video tutorials for users. Nichole then worked as a Leadership Trainer & Consultant for The Conflict Center until 2010. From 2010 to 2012, they worked at The Brickman Group, first as a Regional Employee Development Specialist and then as a Contract Leadership Coach.

In 2012, Nichole joined MasTec Advanced Technologies as the Senior Manager of Leadership & Culture and later became the Director of Learning & Organizational Development from 2014 to 2016. Nichole then served as the Industry Director of Sales Consultant for Amplifire (Knowledge Factor) in 2017.

In 2018, Nichole worked as a Process Improvement Consultant in the Quality, Risk, & Safety Department at SCL Health, followed by roles as a Vice President of People + Culture at Stateless and a Vice President of Growth for the same company. Nichole is currently a Member of the Board of Trustees for the Town of Nederland.

In 2022, Nichole joined Upwork as an AI Prompt Engineer, where they develop and implements custom prompts to enhance user experience and engagement with generative AI tools.

Nichole Sterling's education history includes a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Communication from the University of Colorado Denver. Nichole has also pursued a Professional Certificate program in Industrial and Organizational Psychology at Colorado State University, a Professional Certificate program in Writing at the University of Denver, and a Non-Degree Program in Intercultural/Multicultural and Diversity Studies at Colorado State University.

In addition to their educational qualifications, Nichole has obtained several certifications. These include being a Prof G Certified Brand Strategist and a Prof G Certified Strategist from Section4 in November 2020 and October 2020, respectively. Nichole is also a Senior Professional in Human Resources® (SPHR®) certified by the HR Certification Institute - HRCI in October 2019.
