Jennifer Listman, PhD

Jennifer Listman, PhD has a wealth of experience in the field of data science. Jennifer began their career in 1991 as a Reproductive Health Counselor at Planned Parenthood Southeastern Pennsylvania. Jennifer then went on to work as a Lab Assistant at Yale University School of Medicine in 2001 and a Teaching Assistant at New York University in 2003. In 2009, they began working at Yale University School of Medicine as an Associate Research Scientist and Postdoctoral Associate in the Department of Psychiatry Psychiatric Genetics. In 2013, they moved to New York University as a Scientific Coordinator at the Center for Genomics and Systems Biology. In 2014, they joined the NYU Tandon School of Engineering as the Assistant Director of the Center for K12 STEM Ed., Program Development & Evaluation. In 2017, they started their own consulting firm, Jennifer Listman Consulting LLC, as a Data Science Consultant. In 2018, they became the Chief Data Scientist at Child Aid. Most recently, in 2020, they were appointed as the Director of Research at Statespace.

Jennifer Listman, PhD, obtained their BA in Biology from the University of Pennsylvania between 1987 and 1991. Jennifer then pursued their MA in Anthropology from New York University between 2002 and 2005. Finally, they obtained their PhD in Genetic Anthropology from New York University in 2009.
