Amna Puri-Mirza has a diverse work experience starting in 2007. Amna began their career as a Research Intern at the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development. Later, they worked as a Research Intern at ECA International and Ramboll. In 2009, they became a Lecturer at the University of Hamburg, teaching the History and Culture of Islam in South Asia.

Amna later returned to SOAS University of London in 2010 to 2011 to pursue a Master of Science (MSc) degree in International Management for the Middle East and North Africa.
