Derek VanTine has a strong background in the beverage industry, with extensive experience in sales, marketing, and leadership roles. Derek started their career in 1998 at International Masters Publishers as a Logistics Coordinator. In 1999, they joined Heineken USA and held various positions including Regional Demand Planner, Senior Operations Analyst, Key Account Manager, Distributor Manager, Area Sales Manager, Sales and Distribution Director, Sales Director - Mid Atlantic, and Senior Director - Commercial Marketing. During their time at Heineken USA, Derek was responsible for developing and executing sales and marketing strategies, managing budgets, and leading teams. In 2019, they moved to Asahi Europe & International where they served as the Managing Director - USA, leading the strategic transformation and day-to-day operations for the Asahi portfolio of beer brands in the US market. Currently, Derek is the Vice President - East Region and Control at Ste. Michelle Wine Estates, overseeing the East Region and Control state business unit, including P&L management, pricing strategy, distributor management, and leadership of sales and marketing personnel. Derek will soon transition into the role of Vice President - Customer Marketing and Commercial Planning, where they will be responsible for leading the Customer Marketing and Commercial Planning functions, including Shopper Marketing, Field Marketing and Activation, Education/Training, and Marketing Materials.
