Clarence Wooten has worked in a variety of roles in the tech industry since 2006. In 2021, they began serving as Director & Entrepreneur In Residence at X, the moonshot factory, where they develop moonshots in the early pipeline. In 2019, they founded and became General Partner of Revitalize Venture Studio, a venture studio focused on changing the complexion of tech by co-founding break-out software startups led by black founders and diverse teams. In 2014, they founded and was Initial CEO & Chairman of Progressly, which was acquired by Box in 2018. In 2017, they founded STEAM Role, a mobile app that helps students and aspiring professionals discover who they can become and how to get there. In 2019, they became a Founding Board Member of Climb Hire, an accelerated training program to prepare overlooked and hidden talent for entry-level tech jobs. In 2014, they founded VentureFund.io, which reduces the friction of startup funding by helping startups build relationships with investors though data. In 2017, they became an Investor in Kylie.ai, which was acquired by Directly. In 2011, they founded and served as CEO of Arrived, which is no longer in operation. Additionally, they have been a Member of the Board of Trustees at Philadelphia University since 2009.

Clarence Wooten obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Business and Management from The Johns Hopkins University.
