Mike Colby

Mike Colby has over 25 years of experience in Operations, Supply Chain, and Project Management. Mike began their career in 1996 as Operations Manager and Materials Manager at Iomega, where they conducted Lean Manufacturing Kaizen events resulting in shorter cycle times, more efficient space utilization, and improved quality. In 2002, they joined Sandoz as an Industrial Engineer and Project Manager, where they reduced production and testing cycle times by 7-20%. In 2004, they joined Picolight as Director of Operations and Supply Chain, where they built a key Contract Manufacturing relationship in China and transitioned 5 product lines to a new Asian manufacturing partner in less than 12 months. In 2008, Picolight was acquired by JDSU, where they served as Site Manager and Operations Manager. In 2009, they joined Ampulse Corporation as Senior Director of Operations. Mike then served as a Consultant for Gogo in 2013, where they transitioned FAA-regulated product from Engineering to Production within an Agile environment. Mike then joined Sielo (formerly Terralux) as Vice President of Operations, where they formulated and implemented tactical and strategic Operations processes to deliver high-reliability LED retrofit lighting and IoT Building Intelligence Platform solutions. Finally, in 2022, they joined Steelhead Composites - Hydrogen Storage Solutions as Director of Strategic Projects.

Mike Colby attended Syracuse University from 1984 to 1988, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE). Mike also attended City, University of London from 1986 to 1987, studying Electrical Engineering.
