Joseph DeGol is the Chief Technology Officer at steg.ai since October 2023. With a background in computer vision, augmented/virtual/mixed reality, robotics, perception, and fiducial markers, Joseph has previously held positions as a Software Engineering Consultant at Lumenco, Inc., a Principal Researcher at Microsoft, and a Lead Computer Vision and Robotics Scientist at Reconstruct Inc. Joseph's extensive experience also includes research internships at Microsoft Research, MIT Lincoln Laboratory, and positions as a software engineering intern at Wipro. Joseph holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and Bachelor's degrees in Computer Engineering and Mathematics from Penn State University.
