John Hegedus

John Hegedus is the Senior Vice President of Stores at Stein Mart. John has been with the company since April 2018, and in their current role, they provide oversight and direction for the entire organization, including 25 direct and 9,850 indirect associates. John is also a member of the IT Steering Committee, Public Disclosure Committee, HR Steering Committee, Marketing Committee, Real Estate Committee, and Capital Approval Committee.

Hegedus is responsible for the Customer Experience, Store Revenue, Store Personnel, Store Merchandising Presentation, Field Organization, Corporate and Field Operations, Corporate and Field Communications, Store Systems, Managing the Credit Program, and Real Estate. John also develops, approves, and manages a P&L of $1.2B in revenue, $120M in payroll, and $100M in expense budgets.

Under Hegedus' leadership, the company has implemented a Ship from Store program that has increased digital sales by 29% to $22M while reducing operational cost by 13%. John has also generated $7.5M by introducing Save the Sale platform transactions.

In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, Hegedus developed a team to transition to an Off-Price retailer that increased operating income by $8.5M, sales by 23%, and traffic by 13%. The team also developed and drove the One Team Attitude and Purpose, for a collaborative slogan of, "We inspire our customers to look

John Hegedus has a Master of Business Administration from Western Governors University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Western Governors University.
