Robert Devine

Robert Devine is the Senior Vice President, Chief Legal Officer at Stein Mart. Robert has been with the company since May 2017 and has been instrumental in leading the strategy and organizational development for the Legal Department. In their role, they oversee and manages all legal functions, including contract governance, Intellectual Property, Securities, and Labor & Employment Law. Robert also serves on the company's Strategy Committee and is the Privacy Officer for the company.

Prior to joining Stein Mart, Devine was an attorney with Holland & Knight LLP, where they advised corporations and businesses on labor & employment law, immigration law, benefits law, employment litigation, employment contract/restrictive covenant litigation, data privacy, and wage & hour matters.

Before their time at Holland & Knight, Devine served as Vice President of Human Resources and Labor Relations at Bi-Lo Holdings from 2013 to 2014. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing all aspects of the human resources function for the company.

From 2005 to 2011, Devine was the Sr. Director, Group Leader of Labor & Employment Law and HIPAA Privacy & Security Officer at Winn Dixie Stores. In this role, they were responsible for all aspects of labor & employment law for the company, as well as overseeing the HIPAA Privacy & Security program.
