Buffy Markakos

Buffy Markakos has over 30 years of experience in various roles, primarily in the food and beverage industry. Buffy worked at Stella & Chewy's as a Retail Account Specialist Training & Education Canada since 2021. Before that, they spent over a decade at Lindt & Sprüngli (Canada), Inc, where they held the position of a Territory Manager GTA and a Sales Merchandiser GTA. In these roles, Buffy consistently exceeded sales and profitability targets, built relationships with key business managers, and trained and coached new hires and office staff. Prior to their time at Lindt, Buffy was a Proprietor at both Joey Bravo's Italian Restaurant and The Ballroom Tap & Grill, where they optimized profits by managing all aspects of the restaurant beverage program and was responsible for staffing and training.

Buffy Markakos obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Sociology from York University, where they studied from 1988 to 1992. In addition to their formal education, Buffy has also obtained multiple certifications from LinkedIn. Some of these certifications include "Building Resilience," "Developing Self-Awareness," "Getting Things Done," "Holding Your Team Accountable," "Holding Yourself Accountable," "Improving Your Listening Skills," and "Setting Team and Employee Goals Using SMART Methodology." Buffy obtained these certifications in 2021, with varying months.
