Corne Schutte

Corne Schutte currently serves as Vice-dean: Research and Industry Liaison and Professor in the Faculty of Engineering at Stellenbosch University, where experience spans various academic roles including Chairman of the Department of Industrial Engineering and Associate Professor. Schutte has served as a trustee for both Discovery Health Medical Scheme and Stellenbosch University Retirement Fund, while also holding a council member position in the South African Institute for Industrial Engineering (SAIIE). Previous professional experience includes consulting for Indutech (Pty) Ltd and project management roles at Ultramain, IBM, and Paradigm. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Industrial Engineering from Stellenbosch University and multiple degrees from the University of Pretoria in the same field.
