Joicy Xavier is an accomplished academic with extensive experience in bioinformatics, computational biology, and data science. Currently serving as an Associate Professor at the Federal University of Vales do Jequitinhonha e Mucuri since January 2016, Joicy also holds the position of Research Fellow at Stellenbosch University, where collaboration includes the Center for Epidemic Response and Innovation (CERI). Joicy's prior roles include research staff positions at the Bio21 Institute and Baker Heart and Diabetes Institute, and a doctoral student at FIOCRUZ.
