Lavanya Jawaharlal

Lavanya Jawaharlal has a rich work experience that spans multiple industries. In 2011, they served as the California State Executive Vice President for FBLA-PBL, where they were president of the Gold Coast Section and took part in multiple business conferences across the state and country. In the same year, they co-founded STEM Center USA and served as its President, inspiring the next generation of STEM leaders through a unique, learn-by-doing curriculum. In 2014, they became an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Theoretical and Applied Fluid Dynamics Laboratory (TAFLab) and also served as the Executive Vice President of the Associated Students of the University of California (ASUC). During their term, they helped open Lower Sproul, a $223 million project. In 2017, they joined ACE NextGen as a Board Member, where they helped start the Women's Initiative Program focused on supporting and mentoring female AAPI entrepreneurs.

Lavanya Jawaharlal began their educational journey at Diamond Bar High School, graduating in 2012. Lavanya then attended the University of California, Berkeley, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and Ocean Engineering in 2016. Lavanya continued their studies at Claremont Graduate University, completing a Master of Education in Educational Evaluation and Data Analysis in 2022, and a Doctor of Philosophy in K12 Education, Equity & Policy in 2023.
