Megan Wetzel

Megan Wetzel has a diverse range of work experience. Megan began their career in 2010 as a Camp Staff member at Crystal Springs United Methodist Camp, where they were responsible for conducting group activities, building relationships, and organizing supplies. In 2012, they briefly served as a 7th Grade Girls Basketball Coach at Shepherd Middle School. From 2014 to 2015, Wetzel worked as a Lead Preschool Teacher at The Gardner School, where they created assessments, implemented unit plans, and maintained a safe classroom environment. In 2015, Wetzel transitioned into education and joined Hamadeh Educational Services as a 5th and 6th Grade Educator. During their time there, they analyzed data, contributed to school improvement through meetings, participated in extracurricular activities, and developed curriculum. Most recently, Wetzel has been working at STEM.org since 2017 as a Content Director. In this role, they have played an instrumental part in the development of a leading STEM credentialing program and has initiated public-private partnerships to promote STEM education in developing nations.

Megan Wetzel attended Central Michigan University from 2008 to 2013, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Education with a focus on Elementary Education and Teaching. In January 2014, they also obtained a Provisional Teaching Certificate from the State of Michigan.
