Senior Scientific Support Representative at STEMCELL Technologies

Courtney Choutka is a seasoned scientific professional with extensive experience in the biomedical research field. Currently serving as a Senior Scientific Support Representative at STEMCELL Technologies since May 2022, Courtney previously worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Medical Research Council from August 2018 to April 2022, focusing on cancer pathways related to obesity and type II diabetes. Prior to that, a Postdoctoral Fellow at BC Cancer Agency from September 2011 to July 2018, Courtney advanced research initially begun during a PhD candidacy at Simon Fraser University, which explored the noncanonical role of caspases in autophagy regulation using Drosophila melanogaster. Courtney holds a PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Simon Fraser University, alongside a Bachelor of Science with First Class Honours in the same field.
