Ilham Birkan

Ilham Birkan has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Ilham'smost recent position is as the Associated Vice President, US Biomarker/Companion Diagnostics Strategy at Stemline Therapeutics since 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Amgen as the Global Marketing Director, IVD - Companion Diagnostics & Biomarkers from 2019 to 2022.

Ilham has also held positions at Invetech as the Vice President of Sales and Business Development from 2017 to 2019, Thermo Fisher Scientific as the Director, Global Clinical & Toxicology Marketing from 2016 to 2017, Beckman Coulter, A Danaher Company as the Global Senior Marketing Manager from 2013 to 2016, Leica Microsystems, A Danaher Company as the Country Manager from 2011 to 2013, Gold Standard Diagnostics as a Product Manager from 2010 to 2011, Xerox as a Senior Manager from 2009 to 2010, PerkinElmer LAS as a Senior Engineer from 2007 to 2009, and UC Davis as a Researcher - Genentech-Roche Scholar from 2002 to 2007.

Throughout their career, Ilham has demonstrated expertise in strategic marketing, sales, business development, and leadership roles. Ilham has successfully managed teams, developed global marketing plans, executed new product launches, and achieved revenue growth. Ilham's experience spans various industries, including healthcare, diagnostic testing, and life sciences.

Ilham Birkan completed a Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering at the University of California, Davis from 2003 to 2007. Before that, they obtained another Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from California State University-Sacramento, which they attended from 1989 to 1991. Their undergraduate studies were at Boğaziçi University from 1984 to 1988, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. In addition to their academic achievements, Ilham also obtained a Real Estate License from the Bureau Of Real Estate in the State of California in April 2014.
