Tara Dobson

Tara Dobson has a diverse work experience in the field of medical science and research.

Tara is currently working as a Medical Science Liaison at Stemline Therapeutics since 2022.

Prior to that, they worked at Daiichi Sankyo, Inc. from 2021 to 2022, first as a Senior Medical Science Liaison and then as a Medical Science Liaison.

Before joining the pharmaceutical industry, Tara worked at MD Anderson Cancer Center from 2010 to 2021. During their time there, they held multiple roles including Research Investigator and Postdoctoral Fellow. Their research focused on investigating epigenetic regulation of tumor suppressors in medulloblastoma and studying the RE-1 Silencing Transcription Factor (REST) in driving medulloblastoma tumors.

Tara's educational background includes a PhD from the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, where they studied translation initiation of neuronal dendritically localized mRNAs and mRNAs associated with disease from 2007 to 2012.

Prior to their PhD, they worked at the University of Colorado Denver from 1999 to 2007 in various research roles, including Lab Manager and Research Assistant. Their research at that time focused on Fragile X syndrome and translation initiation of dendritically localized mRNA in neurons.
