Ian Pirie

Ian Pirie has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Ian started their career in 1981 as the General Manager at Yard Software Systems Ltd, where they worked until 1993. In 1997, they joined Atos as an International Project Director, leading telecom sector projects in multiple countries. From 2003 to 2006, they served as the MD of the GPS Enabled Telematics Group at QinetiQ. In 2006, Ian became the Owner of IWPSolutions, and in 2011, they joined M2M Solutions as a Senior Consultant, a role they held until 2019. Currently, they are working at Stemy Energy as a Business Development Specialist, focusing on demand response software. Additionally, Ian is also involved in research and development at AGM Technologies Ltd, where they joined as a Research and Development Specialist in 2020.

Ian Pirie attended Forrester Senior School in Edinburgh from 1960 to 1964. After completing their secondary education, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at The University of Manchester from 1968 to 1971.
